Apparently I only post once a month these days.  Which is too bad really.  But, as my last post indicated, I'm working on a comic book project now which is keeping me fairly busy. 

I've been drawing a lot of Spider-Man 2099 lately.  That suit just kills me, I love it.  so here's the first of many!  in the moleskine.

wow, it's been a while!

I haven't posted since early September?  My how time does fly!  I do have a reasonable explanation for my absence though.  For the past several months I've been working for an awesome company called Futuredude

I've been drawing a series of comics for them called Slingshot: the Jupiter Conspiracy.  It's a great story full of action, intrigue, and best of all some great science!  Check out the story here:

I think I like the Nolan version of Batman better than the comic book version.  So I drew the Dark Knight batman suit and it does look cool.

Yup you read right, 3x6!!  Which is just two 3x3's that I put together.  Iron Man vs. Atomic Robo.  They're confused.

Well, I am nearly married, like 24 more days to go.  I drew the wedding invites and stuff which was fine.  These are some sketches I did in trying to find a suitably cartoony style to draw my fiance in.  I'll post the finished pieces here at some point.

This is an image dump of only two images.  I need to scan my more recent stuff and post it, but I'm just tired of having unposted stuff on my computer, so here's the last of the unposted stuff.  Top one is just some girl I drew for the heck of it.  The bottom is clearly a fish in a robot suit launching missiles at a can of tuna.

moleskine prophets I

I started drawing the Prophets one day in church and I gotta say, they're fun to draw.  I imagine they were all a little angry that people didn't listen to them about anything, it had to be frustrating hearing directly from God and then be ignored by Israel and Judah.  Thus angry prophets.  More to come!

I don't often draw the DC characters but when I do it's usually Batman or Superman.  That sounded like a beer commercial but it's not, I just don't draw the DC folk that much.  Make Mine Marvel.  for the most part...

Here's a life drawing I did.  It's a wing of the St. Paul Seminary library building.  But then it started getting dark and I started getting bored so I just drew Batman on the roof.  Because why not?

a bright idea-Commissions!!!!

A New Year

This is my first post of 2012!  And instead of doing something that's related to the new year I'm just posting whatever random stuff I happen to like of mine.  

First it's a moleskine spread of Junior Varsity.  Ides of March is a villain I thought up a while back when I was thinking of goofy villains.  A very theatrical guy.  so dramatic.

And this is a random moleskine sampling.  On the bottom clearly is Spider-Man swinging through the city.  The top drawing is a different story.  Back in late October I had to serve on Jury Duty.  As I always do when I have to sit and listen for periods of time I pulled out the sketch pad and started drawing.  As I was in a court room I decided to do some courtroom sketches.  These are the two attorneys for the case I was sitting on.  Ready to fight!  Happy New Year.
